「本に楔を打ちながら登頂（読破）を目指す・・・読書がモチベーションが上がって、ちょっと楽しくなる "しおり" BOOKPITON。」

ピトンとは、ロッククライミングやアイスクライミングなどで使う道具です。ピトンを岩壁や氷壁に打ち込んで、ロープを通して滑落を防ぐものです。もともと、ブックは英語で、ピトンはフランス語です。そのためブックピトンは勢いで名付けてしまったわたしの造語ですが、音として気に入っているのと、検索も容易なので、そのままの名前にしてあります。

こちらのしおりは他のものに比べて少し厚みがあります。また、最後には手作業でユーズド加工を施しています。これらのデザインはモダンクライミングの黎明期（60年代）使われていたピトンをイメージしています。これらの仕様は当時から変わっていません。この加工を「ONE TIME - ATTACK HAND FINISH」と呼んでいるのは、実際に「一発勝負のハンドメイド仕上げ」であり、難解な本を読了したあと（決死のクライミング後）に残った「ピトン」という着想から１点１点ラフながら大切＆丁寧に仕上げています。
